Morgan said his position is not an interim one, and he will take on the role for the foreseeable future. A 25-year industry veteran, Morgan was elected chairman of the Krispy Kreme board in 2005. Prior to that, he served as chairman and chief investment officer of Covenant Capital, LLC, an investment firm that he founded. Previously, he served as chairman and CEO of Interstate/Johnson Lane, an investment banking and brokerage firm. Morgan has also served as chairman and CEO of Wachovia Securities.
