Wash. CUs Seek ATM Solution BELLEVUE, Wash.-A group of Washington credit unions is working to fill the void left in their ATM service when Washington Mutual Bank (Wamu) and its 1,100 ATMs agreed to pull out of the TransAlliance electronic funds transfer (EFT) networ, also known as the Exchange. The credit unions, which depended on Wamu's deposit-taking ATMs, are working on a plan to deploy as many as 1,000 credit union-owned deposit-taking ATMs and are looking for other credit union partners.
