Jan. 24, 2003--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services today raised its ratings on six classes of securities from ABN AMRO Mortgage Corp. (ABN AMRO). At the same time, ratings are affirmed on the remaining 305 classes

The raised ratings reflect a significant increase in credit support percentages to the mezzanine and subordinate classes due to the pay down of the senior classes, combined with the shifting interest feature of the transactions and very low losses. Credit support for the ABN AMRO transactions is provided by subordination. Projected credit support for classes 1M-1, 1B-1-1, and 1B-2-1 of series 2001-8 has increased to 3.35%, 2.04%, and 1.13% from 1.7%, 1.05%, and 0.60%, respectively. Projected credit support for classes M, B1, and B2 of series 2001-1A have increased to 5.82%, 3.38%, and 1.83% from 2.30%, 1.35%, and 0.75%, respectively. Projected credit support percentages reflect projected losses based upon present delinquencies. The affirmations on the remaining classes reflect stable credit support percentages, very low losses, and very rapid prepayments.

As of the December 2002 distribution date, total delinquencies ranged from 0.00% (series 2002-2) to 8.07% (series 2000-2), and serious delinquencies ranged from 0.00% to 6.97% (series 2000-2) of the current pool balance. Cumulative losses ranged from 0.00% to 1.03% (series 1999-8) of the original pool size.

The transactions are backed by 15- and 30-year fixed- and variable-rate mortgage loans secured by first liens on owner-occupied one- to four-family residences.
