To the Editor:

Just a quick word of praise about your editorial on trust and reputation (June 2001). I think you are right on target. Bankers should learn a little history especially about the early part of this century when lack of confidence could cause a run.

Sure, things are different now that we have the FDIC, but the concept of trust is not something that should be taken lightly.
