Dayton, Ohio, School Credit Union Changes Name to Appeal to Wider Membership.

Mar. 23--DAYTON, Ohio -- The Dayton Area School Employees Federal Credit Union, formed for teachers in 1935, has taken a new name as it seeks wider membership.

The area's seventh largest credit union is now known as the FirstDay Financial Federal Credit Union, according to Ben Roth, chief executive officer. Roth said the change occurred Saturday.

The credit union, with assets of $75 million and five branches, has applied for a community charter to expand its membership
