Credit unions are undergoing a major technology tool shift that is going to alter drastically the way financial services are delivered to members within 18 months, according to one expert here.

Forecasting the future of financial services to an audience at the California Credit Union League's Educational conference, Robin Richmond of Senscom, a vendor that provides wireless technology to credit unions, told her audience that computing power will soon move from the desk top to the palm top.
