When OmniBanc Corp. Chairman William Johnson looks out his office window these days, the view is far different from what he saw when he bought the company in 1989.

Today, Johnson is doing business on a fourth-floor corner of the former Detroit Savings Bank building at 611 Woodward. The expansive windows give a commanding view of Hart Plaza, the City-County Building and its Spirit of Detroit sculpture, One Detroit Center. and the ANR Building.

Johnson had planned to open a branch of OmniBanc's main subsidiary, OmniBank, in the first floor of the building last fall.
