Wetumpka, Ala., Cashes In on Bank's Move.

Nov. 13--Colonial Bank has moved its regional credit office from Montgomery to downtown Wetumpka, which bank and city officials say will help make the Main Street area more viable.

"We want to provide additional jobs in the community and enhance the downtown area by expanding our banking operations there," said Eric Hamilton, president and CEO of Colonial's South Central Region.
