Hong Kong's Residents Start Widely Accepting Renminbi

HONG KONG, Jul 26, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Hong Kong residents and companies began to be widely use renminbi and less and less amount of renminbi flew back to mainland, according to the statistics conducted by the Shenzhen Port.

From February this year, the People's Bank of China, the country's central bank, started transporting renminbi to Hong Kong when eight Hong Kong's banks began provide renminbi banking services in the city.
