CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29, 1999--Bank of America announced today the appointment of Doug Foreman to head Marketing and Business Development for the bank's Insurance Services Group. In his new company-wide role, Foreman will lead the group's key strategic growth initiatives, and in concert with the group's product managers, will coordinate the marketing and sales of insurance products throughout the franchise.

Foreman began his banking career as a management associate with the company in 1989, and has served in a variety of positions in both Consumer Banking and Marketing. Most recently, he has served as manager of the South Central Consumer Marketing team, responsible for marketing consumer products and services in both Texas and Oklahoma.

"Doug's business acumen and marketing experience will be of great benefit, as we strive to more fully meet the needs of our customers," said Chuck Baynard, head of Insurance Services. In his new position, Foreman will be based in Charlotte and will report directly to Baynard.

Bank of America's Insurance Services Group is a part of the Direct Banking & Specialty Products Division. It is responsible for the sales and service of all insurance products through the bank's Consumer and Commercial Banking Group.
