U.S. Bank's Five Star Volunteer Award Program Donates $240,000 to Nonprofit Organizations...

MINNEAPOLIS -- U.S. Bank is proud to recognize the second round recipients of the U.S. Bank Five Star Volunteer Award program, which honors employees for their exceptional volunteer service. On behalf of the recipients, the bank will contribute $114,000 in $1,000 awards to 114 organizations. U.S.

"The Five Star Volunteer Award program gives U.S. Bank the opportunity to honor the company's most exceptional volunteers," said Teresa Bonner, senior vice president and director of the U.S. Bancorp Foundation. "The bank is dedicated to recognizing our employees' commitment to their local communities."

The second round of U.S. Bank Five Star Volunteer Awards will be presented in 25 states and the District of Columbia. Nominations are being accepted for the first round of awards for 2006 and may be made by an employee or by a nonprofit organization.
