Financial Women International Installs NewPresident.

ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 1999--

Lucy Jackson of San Diego, CA, was installed as the 1999-2000 international president of Financial Women International (FWI) during its 77th annual conference in Pittsburgh, PA, September 25-28, 1999.

As president, Jackson serves

as the official representative of the association. In addition, she directs and oversees the activities of the association in order to achieve its goals during the year.

Currently, Jackson is the vice president and manager of San Diego National Bank, the largest community bank in San Diego. In her position, she is responsible for sales and service excellence in the retail delivery systems of the bank, and for marketing and business development. With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Jackson's areas of expertise include branch administration, operations compliance, disaster recovery, software conversions, and facilities management.

An FWI member for 17 years, Jackson has held numerous positions within all levels of the organization, serving most recently as FWI's international vice president for 1998-99. She was the 1994-95 director for the Southwest Region, the 1995-96 international public affairs vice chair, 1996-97 international membership chair, and the 1997-98 San Diego Conference host committee chair.

Jackson is a board member of the Girl Scouts, San Diego Imperial Council, Inc. She has previously been active on the Mercy Hospital Women's Advisory Council and the San Diego Regional Conference for Women. Jackson was a member of the San Diego AIB Advisory Council Training Forum, the National Association of Bank Security, and the San Diego Security Directors Association.

Founded in 1921 as the National Association of Bank Women, Financial Women International is one of the largest and oldest individual membership organizations of female financial executives, with nearly 6,500 members. FWI connects women in all segments of the financial services industry and empowers them to attain their professional, economic, and personal goals.
