Automotive Retailer CarMax Revs Up Aggressive Expansion Plans.

Jul. 12--Automotive retailer CarMax Inc. is revving up its expansion plans, expecting to double annual sales to about $8 billion in the next four years.

The Richmond-based chain now plans to open 34 to 44 stores by February 2007, according to a report the company issued yesterday.

The growth would expand CarMax stores at an annual rate of 15 percent to 20 percent.
