Although barely one and a half years remain before the start of ITMA 2007, more than 1,000 exhibitors have already registered, including 230 companies that were not at ITMA 2003.

Exhibitors from Germany have a large share of this good interim result. More than 230 German companies have reserved

over 25,000 square meters of net exhibition space, which already amounts to an increase of approximately 10%. Italian and Swiss manufacturers are currently in second and third places of applicants for exhibition space.

The number of registrations from Asia is also very encouraging. Japanese exhibitors have already reserved an area almost 95% larger than for ITMA 2003. Chinese textile machinery builders, who are increasingly oriented to exports, have reserved approximately 70% more exhibition space.

The area for nonwovens machinery and accessories has also become significantly more important than the last ITMA, and it is already clear that this area will occupy more than one hall at ITMA 2007. At present, exhibitors number 40 with a net exhibition space of 7,800 square meters, as compared with 6,359 square meters in 2003, up more than 20%.
