D?rkopp Adler

(Hall 6, Booth A010/B019)

Presenting a World Novelty

At IMB 2006, Durkopp Adler will present for the first time to the public a milestone in sewing technology.

The M-Type series makes a vision come true: a platform of sewing machines for mediumweight applications creating a new dimension of functionality and flexibility for all kinds of operation of the medium-to-heavy-duty sector. As the first model of the M-Type series, the lockstitch flat bed machine class 867 to be shown at IMB will set new standards.

"The M-Type series is much more than a new class of sewing machines," says Dietrich Eickhoff, Division Manager Industrial of Durkopp Adler. "With the new platform concept of the M-Type series, we will sustainably change sewing technology in the medium-to-heavy-duty sector," he adds.

The platform concept of the M-Type series is revolutionary. For the first time in sewing technology, a series has been conceived that does not only comprehensively cover the customer requirements and demands, but also combines technical innovation with the maximum quality standard typical of D?rkopp Adler. This configuration also convinces by a transparent pricing in connection with a high-grade technological concept.

Eickhoff says, "With the M-Type, we have perfected the D?rkopp Adler principle, the customer only pays for what he really needs."

Above all, the deciding factor for pricing is that, due to the platform design, 80 percent of the parts used for M-Type series machines are identical in construction.

The M-Type series has been launched with class 867 - First of M-Type - with eight subclasses and high-performance equipment features. Functionality and upgradability levels are available in the variants Eco and Classic with optional XXL hook. The Eco variant offers state-of-the-art technology as basic version without automatic functions. The Classic variant is the standard version with all known automatic functions plus the typical M-Type features.

In the next step, the M-Type platform will be enlarged by post bed and cylinder arm machines.

Deliveries of the first machines began in December 2005.
