IA President's Message

With this issue, the Irrigation Association embarks on a new venture and alliance to "get the word out" regarding the efficient use of water in agricultural irrigation. The IA is excited about this new relationship with Meister Media Worldwide and its staff.

The mission of the Irrigation Association,

a non-profit organization, is to improve the products and practices used to manage water resources and to help shape a global irrigation business environment. The IA's interest in water resources encompasses the responsible application, conservation, drainage, improvement, and recovery of water for economic and environmental enhancement in agriculture, turfgrass, landscape, and forestry. We believe this relationship will help fulfill our mission.

The Irrigation Association provides a broad range of services to the irrigation industry, including classes and certifications for drip, sprinkler, and surface irrigation designers. Our federal lobbyist and state relations director provide leadership on water issues. The IA helped get many of the EQIP irrigation cost-sharing initiatives into the recent Farm Bill. The IA looks forward to raising awareness of water and irrigation through a long and valued relationship with Meister Media Worldwide.
