A Spiritual Landscape

The beauty of the Balinese landscape is legendary. Its appeal stems in part from the manner by which its residents have carved the island into exquisite cascades of rice terraces. The hillsides drop from volcanic highlands in sharp edges of green plantings and mirror-like watery surfaces.
