The Cotton Market, a new chain of environmentally-friendly clothing stores, has opened a 2,500 s/f store at the popular Mayfair Shopping Center in Commack, N.Y.

The opening was announced by Dale Mulartrick, director of leasing at Levin Management Corporation, the exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 214,625 s/f center.

Headquartered in Calverton, N.Y., The Cotton Market designs, markets and sells its own brand of men's, women's and children's apparel and accessories. Most of the products are constructed of natural fabrics and are manufactured in the company's own factories, which are located in Peru and the United States.

The Cotton Market currently has three existing stores, all on Long Island. The Mayfair Shopping Center store is scheduled to open in the Spring, along with another Long Island location. Mulartrick negotiated the lease for Levin, and The Cotton Market was represented by Phil Perri of Sutton & Edwards. The Mayfair Shopping Center is anchored by Waldbaum's.
