Low Milk Prices Are Putting California Dairies in Debt.

Apr. 23--With the farm price of milk at a 24-year low, an industry representative said California dairies are losing close to $2 million a day and digging into debt to pay their bills.

Some industry leaders are warning that the dairy owners' only hope for survival is to contribute their own money into a self-help program designed to turn down the spigot on the nation's milk production.
