Pourform-OS

Pourform-OS

from Ainsworth Engineered is a concrete-forming panel comprised of proprietary OSB substrate and an enhanced MDO overlay. Compared to B-B Plyform, Pourform-OS has equivalent or better reuse and is designed to reduce telegraphing of strand pattern, reduce transfer of wood fibers, and have an easier, quicker release. Pourform-OS saves costs on remedial work and is FSC Certified on request. Standard sizes are 4ft. by 8 ft. by 5/8%, 11/15 or ¾ in. thick.

CT230 Compact Tractor

Bobcat Company introduces the CT230 Compact Tractor as part of a new compact tractor line. With a 30-hp engine, three travel speeds and hydrostatic transmission, this 3,055-lb. machine is ideal for commercial landscape work and a variety of residential applications. The CT230 is 56 in. wide with agricultural tires, 118 in. long and 96 in. high with the ROPS deployed. Current models in the new compact tractor line also include the CT120 and CT225;six additional models will be introduced throughout 2008.

Canycom Rubber Track Concrete Buggy

The Canycom isa new rubber track concrete buggy from IHI/Compact Excavator Sales. The track system helps you transport materials through muddy ground conditions, over rough and uneven terrain, and over loose sand and gravel. The Canycom is 35 in. wide and 95 in. long. Otherfeatures include hydrostatic drive and a 22-hp Robin gas engine with electric start. The 1,576-lb. machine has a 16-cu.-ft. capacity, a 90° dump angle and travels up to 6 mph.

Poraver

Poraver North America introduces Poraver, an environmentally friendly, lightweight aggregate or filler made from colored recycled glass. Used in Europe for more than 15 years, the product is now available in North America. Poraver porous glass spheres can be used in cement products, grouts and adhesives, self-leveling floor systems, and more. Available in grain sizes ranging from 0.1 mm to 16 mm in diameter, Poraver is nontoxic, noncombustible and safe to handle.

Rough Terrain Telehandlers

Genie Industries redesigned its GTH-1048 and GTH-1056 rough terrain telehandlers to easily maneuver in tight spaces without compromising reach and lift capacity. Whether they are needed to lift or set materials around a work site, both are ideal machines for moving heavy loads. The GTH-1048 has 31 ft. of outreach and is capable of lifting 6,000 lbs. to 48 ft. The GTH-1056 features an outreach of 40ft. and lifts 4,000 lbs. to 56 ft.

Architectural Finish

Quikrete's new Architectural Finish is a polymer-modified, Portland cement-based repair material designed to provide a smooth finish to concrete and masonry surfaces from feather edge to ¼ in. thickness. Typical uses include repairwork on surface defects such as honeycomb, bug holes, spalls and chips; filling drying-shrinkage cracks in concrete and stucco; and above or below-grade repairs.

Cordless Rebar Tier

The cordless Presto Rebar Tier delivers strong double tie wrap of 10 gauge galvanized wire to securely hold the rebars together. Each wire spool ties 120 to 200 rebars, depending on rebar size. Wire spools can be quickly and easily changed.

TS 410 & TS 420 Cutquik

Stihl introduces the 12 in. TS 410 and 14 in. TS 420 STIHL Cutquik cut-off machines with the new X2 Air Filtration System. The X2 system delivers 99.96% clean air to the machine, and not only eliminates the need to clean the filter but also extends filter life. The saws feature a new anti-vibration system, large-capacity fuel tank, ElastroStart starting handle with built-in shock absorber and a compact design for tight situations.

Mini Screed

Weighing only 352 lbs. with a 6-ft. head, the Mini Screed from Somero Enterprises is small enough to fit easily into the bed of a pickup truck. The unit uses Somero's patented laser-leveling technology to cut concrete to a finished grade, screed it flat and vibrate it smooth in one pass. Residential flatwork contractors working with slabon-grade and basement slabs can consistently achieve laser accuracy on various slump and mix designs, while small commercial contractors can achieve better concrete consolidation than hand-held vibratory screeds.

Rebar Shear

The new Rebar Shearfrom EZ Spot UR offers a quick way to cut up to 5/8 grade 6 rebar. Rotate or perform a fixed cut, and cut multiple pieces of rebar at one time. The blades flip, so you essentially have two sets of blades when you buy the tool.

210LJ Landscape Loader

The 10,405-lb. 210LJ landscape loader from John Deere is a versatile machine ideal fortight spaces such as working close to foundations. It features an 84-hp John Deere PowerTech E 4045HT Tier Ill-certified engine, newthree-point hitch controls and 25-gpm maximum hydraulic flow. With a 14,600-lb. box down force and a 7,900-lb. loader lift force, the redesigned operator's station has a wider platform, more legroom and economically designed controls and new instrument panel.

ProSpec Level Set Wear Topping

Bonsal American introduces its ProSpecbrand line of Level Set Underlayments, including Level Set Wear Topping, a high-strength, self-leveling wear surface, complete with abrasion and crack resistance. It provides an ideal base for decorative concrete due to its workability and acceptance of pigments, stains and colored penetrating sealers. Level Set Wear Topping can be installed from ¼ to 5 in. thick and will accept foot traffic in three hours.

Platon Foundation Protector

CertainTeed Corp. now offers Platon Foundation Protector, an air gap membrane product made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) for protection of concrete and masonry walls, ICF walls and existing foundations. The dimpled construction keeps wet soil ¼ in. away from the foundation and provides a waterproof barrier that controls both interior and exterior moisture. The product can be used separately or in conjunction with CertainTeed's other foundation products, including Form-A-Drain footing system and ThermaEZE insulation panels.
