Shareholders of Philip Morris voted to change the company's name to Altria Group. The name change, affecting all but Philip Morris' tobacco operating divisions and "MO" stock symbol, was approved by 95 percent of eligible shareholders. The Altria name "reflects the fact that we have evolved into a substantially larger, more diverse enterprise than we were originally," CEO Geoffrey C. Bible said in his annual letter to shareholders.
