  • Ultimate Accents also is bringing out six new vanity sinks with updated hardware, glass tops and a double sink model with a dressing table.

Key trends

  • Rustic elegance: Rustic looks continue to be popular in the occasional realm thanks to a combination of distressing, hand planing and the use of reclaimed wood varieties. The simple designs and casual feel of the pieces reinforces the sense of comfort and tradition.

  • Hand-painted excellence: Hand-painted craftsmanship adds value to occasional and accent pieces at Hooker, Butler Specialty, Ultimate Accents, Century and Powell Co., among others. A mix of wood tones, bright colors, floral and seashell motifs and even quilted patterns creates a broad range of choices for the consumer.

  • Functional frames: Many pieces continue to offer a mix of door, drawer and shelf storage, thus enhancing the appeal for many technology- and entertainment-driven buyers.
