Gary M. Scopes joined the AICPA as director of international relations. Scopes will serve as liaison for the AICPA's international activities and strategic initiatives. Prior to joining the AICPA, Scopes served as U.S. technical representative for the governing body of the International Federation
William W. Holder was re-appointed to the Governmental Accounting Standards Board for a second term by the trustees of the Financial Accounting Foundation. Holder teaches at the Leventhal School of Accounting at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
IGAF Worldwide admitted two new member firms: Cosmos & Co. of Nagoya, Japan, and JFS Auditores Independentes SS of Recife, Brazil.
RSM McGladrey Network admitted the following new members: Field Wilkmson of Jackson, Wyo. (two partners, 18 employees); Filomeno & Co. of West Haven, Conn, (eight partners, 36 employees); Hein & Associates of Denver (22 partners, 160 employees, five offices); and Lockart, Atchley & Associates of Austin, Texas (six partners and 28 employees).
