Rumor -- fact: Association's profitability claims untrue

RUMOR: An executive director or key founding partner in an association of firms is trying to recruit new members by impressing them with the "fact" that member firms average more than $500K net income per partner (NIPP).

FACT: No association can boast that member firms average more than $500K

NIPP, based on BOWMAN'S annual analysis of firms. Three have member firms averaging more than $300K NIPP, but they do not include the association that is rumored to be making the claim.
