The AICPA announced the following staff changes: Arleen Thomas, vice president of professional standards and services, will now serve as senior vice president of member competency and development. Susan Coffey, vice president of audit quality and professional ethics, was promoted to senior vice president

of member quality and state regulation. Anthony Pugliese, vice president of business reporting and member specialization, was promoted to senior vice president of finance and administration. Chuck Landes becomes vice president of professional standards and services. Bea Sanders is now vice president of academic and career development. John Toman was named vice president of conferences and sales. Patricia Duane was promoted to vice president of HR and organizational effectiveness. Clarence Davis is stepping down as COO as he works towards his retirement. Alan Anderson, senior vice president of the member and public interest teams, is joining Franklin Templeton Investments as senior vice president of global project management and strategy. In volunteer news, Ben Neuhausen, national director of accounting at Chicago-based BDO Seidman, was named chairman-elect of the AICPA Accounting Standards Executive Committee. He succeeds Mark Bielstein of KPMG. The committee's activities include providing industry-specific accounting guidance and serving as the Institute's official voice on financial reporting matters.

The Global Alliance, the tentative name for a recently formed international association of large regional accounting firms, admitted Carr, Riggs & Ingram of Enterprise, Ala., and Decosimo of Chattanooga, Tenn. The association has six other IPA 100 members. CR&I has FY04 net revenue of $39 million; Decosimo has FY04 net revenue of $20.8 million.

Inpact Americas admitted Ironbridge LLP of Pasadena, Calif. The firm has three partners and nine total staff.

MSI Legal & Accounting Network admitted Prager and Fenton of New York. P&F has 11 partners and approximately 40 staff.
