Internetters warns of domain name scam.

CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Domain name registrar Internetters has issued a warning to '.biz' registrants over a fraudulent spam e-mail that is being distributed.

The e-mail is intended to be mistaken for an official document by the recipient and

seeks to trick them into renewing their domain name by supplying credit card details.

Internetters has also announced that the web site mentioned in the e-mail - http://www.domain-renewal.biz - is not connected to Internetters. The official renewal site is actually located at http://www.domainrenewal.biz. Note that the address does not contain a hyphen.
