The Spanish Futures and Options Exchange (Meff) is now the sixth member of the growing Globex alliance. Meff joins the CME, ParisBourse, the Singapore Exchange Derivatives Trading (SGX), the Montreal Exchange and Brazil's Bolsa de Mercadorias & Futuros in the partnership.

As part

of the Globex alliance, members of each exchange will have access to each other's products through electronic terminals at the exchanges. Currently, the partners are working on establishing a set of electronic trading rules and policies. The initial connection between the CME, SGX and ParisBourse is scheduled for the end of the third quarter or beginning of the fourth quarter. The three remaining partners will be added to the connection during the fourth quarter.
