The centerpiece of the campaign targeted at children aged 6-11 is called Blast Off, a computer game that encourages kids to supply their pyramid rocket with the right kind of fuel (food), plus an hour's physical activity. "Fuel" tanks, for each food group, help students keep track of how their choices fit into MyPyramid.
"[MyPyramid] is a step in the right direction," says Peggy Lee, director of food services, Chesapeake (VA) Public Schools of the adult version. "But unless you're computer savvy, the new pyramids risks being both a confusing and potentially alienating system."
