Satisfying a craving for coffee, bagels and smoothies.

Surveys on the campus of Stetson University in

DeLand, FL, indicate that coffee, bagels and smoothies are the three top food/beverage choices of students.

That being the case, the enrollment should have been thrilled when they returned to school last month and found the campus's Hat Rack retail eatery converted into a mini food court, complete with an Einstein Bros. bagel shop and a Freshens smoothie station, along with a grill station.

Campus foodservices provider Sodexho made the changes over the summer and debuted them during freshman orientation week in late August.

The mini food court will be open seven days a week and will have longer hours than the old Hat Rack eatery. Students will also be able to use their meal plan cards at the food court, though the residential dining hall also remains open.
