On Time Flights En Route

Wednesday, November 28 2007

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will be introducing a new air-traffic control system that is set to reduce the many delays of the current air travel system.

The Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast System (ADS-B) relies on radar technology to monitor traffic. Phoenix-based company, Aviation Communication & Surveillance Systems Work, is implementing the new technology in Arizona.

The FAA announced in July that ADS-B will be rolled out in all areas of the U.S. airspace system over the next 20 years.
