Customers at the Novotel London West may notice a subtle and un-intrusive new member to the team during their stay at the 629 room hotel and conference centre. To cut down on noisy and intrusive cleaning, the hotel is introducing the first Automatic Robot Cleaner for hotel Interiors, 'ARCHI' - Electrolux's Trilobite. Standing just 13cm high, it is 'smart' and does not require an operator.

ARCHI uses ultrasound to make It 'see' in much the same was as a bat. This ensures it does not bump into objects or people, whilst still doing its job of keeping communal space well presented. The un-intrusive size of the cleaner also means it can manoeuvre underneath tables and beds, as well as cover rugs and tricky stairways. Once it is short on batteries it simply returns to its charger.

The introduction of ARCHI is another example of the hotel's forward thinking in terms of customer service and commitment to detail. Customers will barely notice the new vacuum cleaner as it carries on its work with minimum interruption.

"It is important that we continually appraise every area of the hotel and the end benefit to our customers," commented Ren Angoujard MHCIMA, General Manager at the Novotel London West. "There are new technologies everywhere that can make our visitors stay better, ARCHI is just the start."
