Red Lobster restaurants across the country teamed up with local police agencies and celebrities for the chain's annual Cops & Lobsters program, benefitting the Special Olympics. Police and celebrities participated in a two month program, working as servers in Red Lobster's 600 restaurants across

the U.S., and donating their "tips," to the worthy cause. This year, the event raised $1.4 million, up $300,000 from last year's drive. At the Fort Lauderdale Cops and Lobsters event, supermodel Niki Taylor, whose dad is a retired police officer, worked with Broward County Sheriff's deputies to raise $1,250 for the Broward County Special Olympics. In Valencia, Calif., actress Sharon Lawrence (pictured above) helped local law enforcement officers take their oath to protect and "serve" to a new level, and dished out the lobsters to hungry patrons.
