Quality Assurance Engineer

Software Quality Assurance Engineer for AllBusiness.com site software and backend systems.

Responsibilities:

• File and track actionable defects
• Extend and maintain testing tools and build/release infrastructure
• Augment QA effort in process refinement, revision and optimization
• Prepare and execute test plans for business critical website and applications software releases.

Technical Skill Level:

• Experience in testing web-based, multi-tier software systems
• Familiarity with development/QA life-cycle
• Proven experience using and administrating MySQL and MSSQL environments
• Ability to implement and maintain multiple test platforms
• Solid professional website developer skills, including experience testing HTML/XML/Javascript
• Experience with a variety of QA / automated tools (Junit, Jmeter, Selenium, etc)
• Comfortable working in a mixed Windows/Linux environment

Professional Skill Level:

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to create clear and actionable bug reports, test plans and reports
• Candidate must be independent thinker and self-starter and able to apply logic in stressful critical situations
• Ability to communicate on all levels (orally and written) of the organization

Attitudes & Behaviors:

• A person in this role is able to excel while striking a balance between business dynamics and Quality Assurance goals

Requirements:

• 4 years professional experience
• BA Computer Science or equivalent
